We use these systems for electrical design
We use the ELCAD, EPLAN, WsCAD and ProE (now PTC Creo) systems for our electrical design services. All four systems have their strengths and their use depends on the requirements in terms of complexity, company size and interface integration.
ELCAD
Developed by AUCOTEC in 1985, ELCAD is a pioneer in planning and documentation systems. Always flexible in order to respond appropriately to changing customer requirements, the software offers CAD specialists all the options for documenting advanced ERP systems with its modular structure and wide range of interfaces. The tool is best suited to electrical documentation in industry.
EPLAN
The market leader in electrical design provides its services for the creation of circuit diagrams, control cabinet layouts and electrical installation plans. The software tool can combine software solutions for every engineering discipline and supports cross-project collaboration between all stakeholders. Its strengths are its considerable range of functions, its comprehensive library and its high level of automation. Its added value increases with the complexity of the projects.
WsCAD
Während EPLAN sich bestens für komplexe Projekte eignet, ist WsCAD ideal für kleinere Projekte, die weniger Spezialfunktionen bedürfen als vielmehr einer zugänglichen, nutzerfreundlichen und kostengünstigen Umsetzung. Die von der WSCAD GmbH entwickelte Konstruktionssoftware unterstützt ebenfalls automatisierte Abläufe und ermöglicht die Integration von 2D- und 3D-CAD-Modulen. Es lassen sich bequem elektrische Komponenten mit mechanischen Teilen zusammenfassen.
ProE
Although ProE (now PTC Creo) also has functions for electrical design, it is primarily designed as a 3D CAD system, so its use is particularly recommended for creating an attractive product design. In this area, it can play to its strengths and offers users a rich arsenal of design functions as well as innovative tools such as IIOT, VR and AR for a brilliant product experience. The system offers tight integration between mechanical and electrical systems, making it a popular choice for entrepreneurs who want to integrate both areas into one system.
